FAQs

What should my child wear to the pool?

Children should wear comfortable swimwear. For boys, swim trunks are recommended, and for girls, a supportive one-piece or bikini. Please remember dry towels. Changing areas are limited so families should come prepared in swimwear.

Children not potty changed or that have occasional accidents are required come with a swim diaper and an extra, just in case.

How small are the class groups?

We keep our classes very small to prioritize safety and confidence. Our low 4:1 maximum ratio allows our instructors to focus on each child's foundational techniques individually. Classes are also offered in groups of 2:1 and 1:1 on a limited basis.

Where exactly are you located?

Our swim school operates at a private, heated outdoor pool in the Vally Junction area of West Des Moines, IA. For safety, this location is not provided unless you are an enrolled family.

Can parents watch the lessons?

Absolutely! We require parents to stay on site during lessons. Seeing a familiar face at the poolside helps build water confidence and trust for our swimmers. It also helps ensure the safety of all swimmers in the pool.

Families that have additional siblings that are not swimmers will be asked to remain in the car or stroll the neighborhood with the sibling. This policy allows us to promise a distraction-free environment.
